A Beautiful Fall

    Diane cleaned up Moho while I hunted (she has all the fun).  I came back for lunch.  Diane went to grocery store while Rudy and I rested a bit 😏 and when she got back, I went out for the evening hunt. Nothing.  Winnie stopped in for a short visit.  Diane did manage to make stuffed acorn squash for dinner and of course a fire this evening. The acorn squash we don't have very often but it seems like a comforting meal this time of year.

    Worked on insurance info all morning then headed to QQs for lunch with Dave and Winnie.  We sat and talked for about 2 hours.  Brad and Diane headed to TSC for a blue water filter, got a lottery ticket then headed home for Brad to going hunting.  He decided no hunting (to warm) and just picked up his tree stand and came home.  We had hog maw sausages for dinner and our last fire at Ives Run for the year. The tree color is still magnificent.

    Time to move to the next campground. We are only going 20 miles so a slow lazy morning. Diane made us a nice, cooked breakfast. The only thing we had to do was send an email to the RV shop. It took two hours to sort through the different quotes, bills, texts, and email to figure it all out and I'm not sure we really did understand it all. But anyway, what a beautiful day.  Clear skies, lots of sunshine and of course the delightful fall foliage. Dave and Winnie stopped in to say goodbye and wish us safe travels. And by 2 we were packed and ready to pull out.  I had the Moho towing the car and Diane had the truck. I went straight to the campground and Diane stopped for some groceries on her way.  I arrived at the Rusty Cannon campground, got out to check out our site and somehow locked myself out. 😠😖 I had to get the ladder off the back of the Moho and crawl through the driver's window. Luckly, I left that open. I unhooked the car, parked the Moho and put the ladder back on the rack.

    Now Diane pulls in, we unload the groceries, and I begin to tell her the story.  And the "know it all she is" she says laughing, why didn't you use the keyless entry!!😁 We laughed so hard!!  Burger on the grill.

    Yesterday when we left Ives Run the windshield blind did not go up all the way. 😟 And when we parked the indicator panel said we have no electric, although we do have 50-amp service. So today priorities got some what rearranged. The blind was first on the list can't drive with the shade down. 😏 Diane downloaded the instruction and seemed easy, find the limit adjustment button and follow the instructions 10-minute job.  So, I started looking for the button. After an hour of searching, prying stuff apart sticking my hand in corners I couldn't see in, I finally pulled a bundle of wiring out from behind the molding, I found it!  And it only took about 5 minutes to fix, once we found the button. By now it was noon, and we had a lot to get done.

    I made an appointment to get my bike fixed, to get the DEF gauge fixed, and called the RV shop one more time. Then over to the cabin picked up my tree stand and took it up Norman's hill.

    Diane went to do laundry; she is getting tired of that. Picked up a bear license and stopped at the post office only to find out it is closed for repairs; seems someone smashed their car through the front wall. She came home and we washed her car and finally had a moment to relax and enjoy some wine.  Steak and shrimp for dinner. YUM!!

   Another beautiful fall day. A light frost this morning, but clear skies and sunshine, the temp warmed up to 75. Diane was up early and was out the door by 7:00 AM headed to a Dr's appointment, Ouch! I washed and scrubbed the front half of the Moho.  By now I was running low on rags, so I put them in the washer.  If they didn't spin right didn't matter, I could just hang them outside. I finished just before lunch, went in to check the rags in the washer.... it ran just fine. 😕

   Diane got back, we had lunch and then I headed to Wellsboro for a dentist appointment, drop off my bike and pick up her prescription. By the time I returned Diane had cleaned up the Moho and ran a load of laundry and it worked perfectly. 😐Ham steak for dinner.

 We wanted to get on the road early but until we finished packing and hit the road it was 10:00.  Brad headed straight to Hackett and Son to get the Moho inspected.  He unhooked the car, and we met at the campground.  Seemed awfully funny sitting at our camp site without a camper. 😏 We chatted a while then back to the garage to drop off the truck and pick up the camper.  Diane visited with Dave and Winnie until about 5:10, Brad returned home with the camper by 5:20.  Parked, set up, Burgers for dinner.

   The day started out nicely, scrapple and eggs for breakfast then over to get the truck. With all three vehicles now inspected we set out to run some errands.  Brad went to Bens to load up hunting supplies for archery season.  I went to Wellsboro for cash, wine, lunch, Rite Aid and Weis markets.
  Now the day turned to crap. 😐 Ran a load of laundry and when I took it out it was still soaked. It ran but apparently not spinning correctly. Tired a couple different things, turned it off/unplugged, checked drain filter remove some debris.  Tried it and it worked. Next load didn't work. 😠

    Another fun day! Yogurt for breakfast, and Diane headed off for a haircut at 8:00 am.  I don't know why she does this to herself.😀 Winnie came down to visit for a while Brad researched and worked all morning on the washer.  No Luck.
    After lunch Diane sorted winter/summer clothes, it's cold and all our warm stuff was packed underneath. The rest of our spare time we called the insurance company, RV shop, bank, and a realtor.
   After all that we went to Dinner with Dave and Winnie at Rotsells. We had a nice time catching up with each other.

   Diane had to take laundry to town, oh how she enjoys the laundromat! 😕 I went to the cabin and mowed, then up Norman's hill to trim briers and relocate the trail cam. I returned just as Lynne and Rick arrived about 3:30. They got set up, I got cleaned up just in time to enjoy ham loaf for dinner and of course a fire. We all sat by the fire enjoying good conversation until Rick and I headed to bed around 9:30. The girls stayed up and of course got beautiful view of the aroura borealis, just my luck!

   We spent most of the day in Corning NY.  Walked around for a while before having lunch at Mooney's famous for Mac and Cheese. We all had some flavor of Mac and Cheese, and we all had leftovers. The special meal award went to Rick. He ordered fried fish, it was sooo big.  I think he got three meals out of it.  Then we walked through town a bit more, had a quick stop at Wegmans before heading home. Leftovers for dinner.

   Lynne made us all breakfast scrapple, eggs, and toast the whole works. Lynne and Diane went to Wellsboro to check it out and to do a little leaf looking.  Rick and Brad did a little hike through the woods scouting for some deer sign. Back home Rick set up his Clam (an enclosed canopy) we put in some lights, a heater and we had a nice warm patio area.  Grilled tenderloin and sweet potatoes for dinner and a game of Mexican train round out the night.

    Another cool cloudy and drizzly day. 😒 After a quick breakfast of yogurt, Diane cleaned up the Moho a bit, then salad and tomato sandwich for lunch.  Tired of just setting around we all got in the

Mini Cooper and off to famous brands in NY.  Brad got a jacket while Diane settled on a pair of gloves.  And no trip to NY is complete without hitting at least one winery.  And so, we did, we stopped at the Grist Iron Brewery (ok not a winery).  We all shared two famous and delicious soft pretzels with a glass of champagne.  Dinner at respective homes and Euchre in the evening.

   Lynne and Rick worked all day. Diane was off to her new favorite spot "the laundromat" 😢, picked up some wine, groceries and filled up with gas. Took her most of the day.
   I went to Mansfield to get a propane heater for the cabin. Something you can turn on to get some quick heat, found one at Lowes.  Of course, they recommend a big propane tank, a 12-foot hose and a guard for around it which I did not buy.
   Lynne made shrimp fajitas for dinner they were oh so good, no leftovers tonight.  We dinned in the clam along with both dogs, so glad Rick had that.  Finished off the evening with a game of Farkle.

   Rick enjoyed another day at work.  While Lynne and Diane went to NY shopping TJ Maxx, and the GPC wine store the place is huge with a great selection of wines. I think Lynne just smiled when she walked in the place.
   I took my stand and went to check out one more hunting spot. I walked up the hill found lots of deer sign and the apple trees were full. So back down to the truck, get my stand and back up the hill to my tree. Back home cleaned up and we all headed to The Wellsboro House for dinner. The selections were surprising for Wellsboro, and we all enjoyed our meals.  Back home no fire tonight but did get a game of Farkle in.

   Rick worked, last day this week. I headed over to the cabin mowed the yard again, picked up warmer hunting clothes and up Norman's did a little scouting.  Lynne and Diane were off to Wellsboro about 1:00 checking out Dunham's, the Game Shop, with a quick stop at Weis markets.  Chicken Cordon blue casserole for dinner.  Fire at the Shirks but no clam to sit in tonight it is all packed up.

   Lynne and Rick packed and left about 9:00 am.  I headed down to my stand trying middle of the day hunting. Nothing!  Diane headed to the Laundromat, again, and we both arrived home about the same time.   We put clothes away and I hunted again in the evening.  I quit early so I could get home in time to make burgers, and of course a fire.

Summary of the Shirk visit. IT WAS GREAT! 
The weather was not so nice a lot of cool, cloudy and drizzly days but we persevered!
Rick got the award for biggest piece of fish ever seen. And the Clam was a life saver.
Lynne and Diane had the best luck won all the games we played and got to see the northern lights.
It was really nice to spend some time with family.

The Moho comes home!!

    We got up, had breakfast and made our plan to go to the RV shop about 10.  We stopped three quarters of the way down for an early lunch.  Diane picked a diner just off the highway in Newport, DE.  I always wonder what we will find.  Turned out to be a nice place and the food was good.

   Meanwhile The RV shop didn't call to say it would be done or not done or anything. I guess you could

say we were in a communication blackout. 😑 As we round the last corner and approach the shop, we are straining our eyes to see the Moho.  It is not out front. 😕 We go in, exchange pleasantries and our services rep walked out for lunch.  Another takes over and says she is working on the bill (wait till you see that) it will be a few minutes (now 12 noon). We walk around for a while, finally I ask if the Moho is done. It should be soon!  Diane leaves me there and heads home (Rudy is home alone) and I settle in to wait. Around 3pm our service rep comes out to tell me it will be ready in 20 minutes.  At 3:30 I'm heading into rush hour traffic on I295 and I 95, but I'm in the Moho and happy.  

   Pull into the apartment close to 5pm backed it up close to the door, turned off the engine and we had a big glass of wine. 🍷😁 The party didn't last long. We started hauling stuff out and loading up the Moho. The biggest thing was getting the refrigerator cool enough to bring our food out.  Another busy day tomorrow, check out time is 11am.

   What a long Day.

    You can imagine what today was like!  Five weeks and 3 days in the apartment and had to clean it out in a day. Finished cleaning out the place we were just a little early. On the road at 10:30. Pulled into Walmar Manor 2ish and parked.  We started with a 2-week reservation but with all that happened we are down to 4 days. And in case you forgot we unloaded as much stuff from the Moho as we could and put it in storage. Once we were parked, I headed to the storage unit to get the ladder and other big items that were just inside the door and blocked the little bit of isle we had. Diane stopped at the grocery store on her way and then cleaned the Moho. Another day of pure exhaustion. Picked up wings from the Legion and called it a day.

   We slept like rocks last night. Didn't wake up until after 7:00.  That felt wonderful!😊 The first full day in Dillsburg. First thing Diane did was cancel one night from our reservation at Ives Run to give us another day here. I walked around the Moho and started a list of items the repair did not do, no mud flap in the back, did not fix the DEF gauge, just name a few. So, we will be going back to get those items fixed. 😡😡Words cannot explain our frustration.

    Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were all about the same. We cleaned and repacked the Moho.  Diane shopped 5 or 6 stores replenishing the cupboards. We were out of the for Moho so long we forgot where stuff belonged.  I would look at an empty spot and would have to think "what am I missing" then I remembered I stored a bunch of containers at Ben's cabin. We will have to repack again once we get up north. We have been trying to visit some relatives while were here but so far, no luck. 

    Thursday afternoon Rudy quit walking almost completely.  Later that afternoon it was all he could do to go outside and pee.  We were extremely worried and started calling vets, no one could see us. I figured it was his hip.  I called Len to get a pain pill dosage, he wasn't home.  Len called back an hour later from Costa Rico.  Ground up a baby aspirin with his dinner. Worried sick we went to bed.

    We weren't the only one worried sick last night. We were abruptly awakened to the sound of Rudy puking in the bed.  I haven't ever seen Diane go from sound asleep to up and stripping the bed a less than a minute. 😁 By 6:20 we were sitting at the table having coffee.  At 6:30 Rudy barfed again right at her feet.  That did it she ran and hid in the bedroom while I cleaned it up. She is a sympathetic puker. The good news is that after Rudy was done throwing up, he started feeling better and moving better.

dinner. The rest of the day she spent at the laundromat.

   By the time we were enjoying our shrimp, crab stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes, Rudy was running around having a great evening. We guess he ate something baaaad.😕

   The day ended well.

    Finally got to visit some family.  Diane went to see Chase and Kennedy and I visited with Bev.  Always good to see family. But we are running short on time. I would go to the storage unit then call

Diane to see if what I was looking for was already in the Moho.  The storage unit is a mess.  We need to clean it out completely and reorganize the place. After putting stuff in and out, buying new and leaving things up at the cabin, I can find anything. 😟 I got frustrated and went back.

    Diane has the inside of the Moho pretty well organized, and we can actually find most everything. We had steak, mushrooms and a baked potato for dinner. It was a good ending to the day.

    Our last day in Dillsburg.  Diane spent the beautiful day with Lynne down at Biglerville Apple Festival just as happy as could be. 😀😁 I spent the day on the roof cleaning the edges and clearing the little rain gutters. 😢 Tired and wore out but I had the place packed up by the time she returned.  One last run to the storge unit for my bow and other hunting accessories which I did not find 😟 hope they are at the cabin.

    We made another brief visit to see the grandkids this evening. Shane and Morgan are so busy we have to squeeze a visit when available. The visit lasted longer than we thought so Grilled sausages for dinner.

   A good day! We are packed and ready to head north tomorrow.

   Happy part first. I went to Sunnyside Pastries to pick up a pie we were getting for Bev, planning on having the Moho back today, but that didn't happen.  Lynne came down and went to Root's Farm Market with Diane.  I met them for lunch at the Market. There was a Louisiana (style) food vendor there and I tried the Cajun Combo, kind of a blend of gumbo, and etouffee with beans and rice all mixed together.  It was good but not much seafood.  The girls had perogies.  After lunch they went back shopping, I walked around a bit, looked at some old coins and headed back home. On the way back the RV shop sent me a picture of the Moho all taped and ready for the paint shop. OH YEA!  Diane made it back around 3pm and sent Bev's pie home with Lynne, which was delivered safely.  It was either that or we would have to eat it ourselves. 😏 Diane picked up dinner at the market called "million-dollar chicken" it was pretty good.

    Today was a regroup day. Changing our reservations both here and at Dillsburg is wearing our patience's awfully thin. 😖 The RV shop sent a picture of the Moho with one coat of paint and being taped for the second. So, I ask if would be done Friday.  They answered with 'it should come out of the paint shop' tomorrow.  I asked again and they said not "confident about Friday but Monday for sure." We changed all our reservations to leave here Saturday with the Moho. Now changing again to leave Monday.  I'm eating a lot of Tums!!

    Trying to occupy a few remaining brain cells, we headed out for an all-day adventure.

After lunch we made another run on the antique stores.  Today started the famous Adamstown Antique Extravaganzas with most dealers offering 20 to 50% off.  The really nice items were only 10% but we found several items we needed for the storage unit. 😏😂😁

   Like all good things, it came to an end with a called from the RV shop. At 3:30pm I texted them.  They said it would be out of the paint shop first thing on Friday. I ask when it would be done, they said after it comes out of paint shop it needs to be buffed and pass QC. We are still hoping to get it Monday!

    You will not believe today.  It all started out ok we had a quick breakfast and packed Diane up to go to Lynne's this afternoon.  She is being sworn in as an Elks member on Saturday at 8:30 am (yes in the morning).  Around 11am they texted they missed a spot on the wheel well and it needs to go back to paint shop. she would text me as soon as she had an update. 😠😡 Words cannot explain our feelings. 

    So, Diane and I went out for lunch to the Ephrata Diner. Nothing special and we were too upset to enjoy it anyway. Back to the apartment dropped me off and Diane headed to Lynne's.  They did a little shopping Picked up some Thai for dinner and went home.

   Meanwhile back at the ranch The RV shop never called.  I waited until almost 4pm before I texted the RV shop. They now are thinking Tuesday or Wednesday next week.  Well, I just lost it!!!  I texted back "that was unacceptable, and I was picking it up one way or another on Monday" I was so mad!  Then I texted Diane to call me when she can, but in my angry rage I mistakenly sent to the RV shop. 😕 But the RV shop did call and after going back and forth a few times I just reiterated I needed it Monday by lunch. 

   So, at this point we have no idea what we will find on Monday!

   Diane was up, showered and on her way to the Elk's by 8:00.  The ceremony/swearing in lasted until 11:00. WOW She did however get a free lunch out of it. She stopped to have a Starbucks coffee with Lynne before coming back. She got back around 2 o'clock.

   I've been binge watching ' Last Alaskans' and managed to get quite a few episodes in the past two days. 

   Now, about are luck!  We settled in, talked a bit and started happy hour just a little late. We had burgers, fresh corn on the cob and fresh tomatoes on the menu for dinner. "Life is grand" I started the grill while Diane prepped the corn. I went over to clean the grill and @#$%*& I am out of propane.  Now I always keep a spare little green bottle of propane for just such an occasion. It is in the Moho!😣  Leftovers for dinner. P.S. with wine!

   We must be getting old, sipping our second cup of coffee we agreed to a nice breakfast on the grill and just relax a bit.  Now, wait for it ......... I went to start the grill!  You know no one filled the tank last night. We laughed!😂 Diane made us egg sandwiches.  Then I went for propane. 

   Still laughing we went to the New Cloister restaurant for lunch.  Diner type food, it was OK. Went to two more antique stores before heading home. Planning once again for burgers and corn for dinner.

   Quick breakfast and we were off to the Green Dragon Farmers Market.  My first time there and I couldn't believe how big it was and how much food was available. Spent several hours, made a few purchases and then it was lunch time. I found a seafood vender and ordered a fried oyster sandwich, Yum.  Diane finally located the pretzel stand and had a pretzel dog. We walked around some more until we covered the whole place (I think). Back to rescue Rudy took him for a nice walk before going out for dinner. I was hungry for seafood Diane found Kyma's seafood.  We started with a glass of wine, Diane ordered grilled scallops with mushrooms, and I got the seafood platter, everything was stuffed with crab, both were great, service was good, wine was excellent, and we were not rushed at all.

The Green Dragon is huge and no we didn't get through it all, we just made a good attempt!!

    I made honky eggs for breakfast. Then off to do some serious antiquing. First was Mother Tucker the most reasonably priced. Picked up two items. Lunch was next getting a recommendation from the antique store clerk; we went to Two Cousins Pizza. Diane had a wrap, I had salad with shrimp both were good. We hit three more stores. One the Oley Valley Architectural Antiques was quite unique.  The place was huge (3 buildings, we were in 1) and so was the merchandise.  Old bars, counters from drug stores, old pillars, stained glass etc. very expensive but interesting to walk through. If only we had a mansion and lots of money.

  Diane did a load of laundry. And while waiting she was trying to figure out what I did yesterday evening to our email account. One by one as we turned on email this morning everything back to 2019 was gone.  Open up email and just watch as hundreds got deleted. I didn't remember doing anything and we couldn't stop it.  Oh well, hope we don't need any of them.

 

Nostalgia for Brad!!

Then we were off for some more antiquing. First was Renninger's. The place is huge. We parked and just walked around the building.  It is only open Sundays and let me tell you it would take a good 4 or 5 hours to do it justice. It was lunch time. Diane found this quaint little place in Stoudtburg Village called The Village Cafe (not to creative) we sat down waited 20 minutes or so, listened to the guy beside us complain to the server about his food and then we got up and left. Place looked nice and had a nice menu, but nobody waited on us.  The next place was much better.  The Columbie Kettle Works, we split a wrap of turkey, ham and cheddar with black pepper bacon jam on it. It was delicious. The jam gave it a very unique taste.  And I had cup of seafood jumbo, oh yum. Then off to another one or two antique stores. Diane finally found a salt and pepper set she couldn't live without. 

   Back to the apartment leftovers for dinner. I took her car down to garage and walked back just around a mile. Good exercise!

The restaurant was nice and the food delicious!!

  Decided to stay home today and start organizing to get out here. Plus, it has rained most of the day. I texted the RV shop at 9am. Lunch came and went. We picked up the car, Diane went to the grocery store, and I went back to the apartment. 2:00 pm and still no word about the Moho. Called at 3pm no answer straight to voicemail. 😖 Finally received a text from the RV shop at 5pm.  Guess what!! Things didn't go as planned and the Moho did not make it to the paint booth😡😡😖on Friday and may not be done on Wednesday!!😞😩😢
   Wine for dinner!

   The beautiful early fall weather continues.  The burnt yellow leaves from the walnut tree next door flutter down all day long.  A sure sign of cooler weather ahead. But for today I cleaned up the apartment, vacuumed and made a grocery store run in anticipation for Diane returning. I grabbed a salad from the grocery store for lunch thinking I'll eat a good lunch.  It was a good salad but an hour after eating I was sick. I'm guessing they must have used a preservative on the lettuce.  Eventfully the gas and bloating passed, and I managed another bike ride.
    I got back Rudy and I were trying to decide what we want for dinner, hot dogs or sausages when the phone rings.  WOO WHO it is Diane, and she is on her way home 😀😁seems Lynne and Rick got back early. Good news for Rudy and me.  She pulled in Rudy ran out jumping, licking and making little whining and grunting noises, he was so happy to see her, and I was too of course. Some wine, burgers on the grill and we are a happy family.

   Breakfast on the grill first time in over a week.  But the honeymoon didn't last long.  After breakfast we got back to the grind, sorted mail, paid bills, Diane went to the grocery store.  She picked up a rotisserie chicken from Wies market for lunch, I picked it, and we had it for lunch, it just didn't have any flavor.  Wasn't bad but wasn't good either. I went for another bike ride, and she did dishes and laundry.  Boy, it is good to have her back. 😏

   And so, another crazy week begins! 😓 I left the house at 06:30 heading to Wellsboro to have a tooth pulled and pick up my dentures. Made it there just in time for my 11am appointment.  In and out just over 1 hour. Next stop was the cabin for a pair of boots to hike up Norman's hill and replace batteries in the trail cam. Back down to the truck and hightailed it back to the apartment. One stop for gas ($2.85 in Lewisburg) and I was home by 5:30. Just in time for happy hour. What a long day (11 hours) traffic was heavy but no accidents.  It took two glasses of wine just to calm down. Diane was bored to tears just sitting around waiting for me to get back. But tomorrow is her turn in a vehicle. She did manage to get a few items packed to get out of here on Saturday.

   Today Diane is in the car all day.  She left around 10am drove to Elizabethville to pick up some auction items, stopped for lunch in Berrysburg, on to Selinsgrove to check out a Moho and finally to Kate's place arriving around 4:30.  She pulled in and half an hour later her and Kate were back in the car going to Galeton for dinner.  The place was closed for some unknown reason. Back to the Perma Stone Inn for dinner, food was ok. They made it home by 8pm. She was worn out and has to do it again tomorrow.
   Rudy and I didn't do anything.  My jaw is still sore😩 so it was rest and pain pills😏 most of the day. I also managed to get a small box of items packed up. Getting anxious to get the Moho back. 

Brad always threatened Kate that he was going to start buying her pigs to collect.... she found this one in her house and figured I planted it there for Brad.  😆

    Diane left Kate's at 10am (see a pattern) heading to her doctor's office in Corning. She was in and out in just a few minutes (appointment was 11:30).  Stopped for wine (much cheaper in NY), then lunch, next gas and a few bathroom stops and she was home by 5:30. Her butt was really dragging two days in a row.😐. And the car was just covered with Tioga County dirt. She flopped in the lawn chair outside and had a refreshing glass of wine.
    I waited until the first glass of wine was gone to give her the bad news. What she didn't know yet was just before she arrived the Maria (from the RV shop) called.  You guessed it......the Moho will NOT be done this week. 😟😠😡. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday but for sure by Thursday.  No use getting mad, it is what it is. Can't change how long it takes to do the painting. What a disappointment.
   We did have steaks and mushrooms for dinner. This was supposed to be a celebration (getting Moho back) instead we celebrate another week in the apartment.

   Now that we're not leaving, we have a bunch of things to rearrange. Scheduled her car for an oil change, extended our stay at the Airbnb, changed reservations in Dillsburg, wash the car and restock the pantry.  We have been eating what we had so we wouldn't have so much to pack and carry back to the Moho but now we are out of food.  I went washed the car, came back then had to go to the Dollar store and Diane did the grocery store run and most of the phone calls. We are just so let down about the Moho.
   We were supposed to go out for dinner, we just don't feel like it anymore.

Coming back to life, us and the Moho!!

   Life goes on sick or not.  I'm feeling somewhat better and there are things I need to fix. Last week the check "transmission light" came on it the truck.  Second time this year. I found a Ford dealer just down the road. I drove over this morning with two lights flashing on the dash.  Besides the transmission light the tire pressure sensor failure light was flashing.  Well, we all know we don't have lights anymore they are symbols 😒 that I had to look up in the owner's manual.  After talking with a service advisor, we schedule the truck for service tomorrow.

   That out of the way I stopped at an antique store on way back to the apartment. It was a big antique mall lots and lots of vendors just not much fun alone. Back home walked Rudy and leftovers for dinner.

    Diane finished her drug regiment but still very tired, feeling a little better just weak and tired.

    Good and bad of concierge service. The good, they picked the truck up at 8am and returned it around 3:30.  The bad, all day stuck in the apartment with no vehicle. They flushed out the transmission hopefully that will work.

   Tired of living alone already.  More leftovers.

    We were supposed to go the RV show today but Diane is just feeling better, and we didn't want to tire

her out. So, we met at T.J. Rockwell's in Elizabethtown.  Another wonderful day for touring around but settled for lunch. We had a good meal, Diane had the fish tacos, and I had BBQ sliders and baked tomato soup.  Both were very good.  I took a different way home and found another antique store (surprise right) they are everywhere down here.  This one was more reclaimed wood (old shutters, barn boards etc.) with regular antiques mixed in.

   Back home walked Rudy, yet more leftovers for dinner.

    Today I went down to the RV shop to check on the progress of the repairs. Went down the turnpike route 202 and rt 100, a little longer but almost all 4 lanes.  Looking for a better way to get the Mohon back up without narrow winding roads.  I arrived about 11:30 it is only 50 miles but takes 1hr 45 min on the back roads. throw in a stop for gas and it is a two-hour trip. They had the passenger seat removed, cut a hole in the wall and were working on rewiring. I tried to turn on the inside light and battery was dead. Had to use a flashlight. Back on the road by 12:30

     As requested by my superior I stopped for marinated mushrooms on my way back. And just my luck

We have STEPS!!

there was a sandwich shop just across the street. Feeling obligated to help the local merchants I walked across and got a sandwich. 😁  

     Back to the house walked Rudy.  I tried to eat the leftover fish, but I think it was bad, so I ate the last three leftover wings. Diane has been gone 6 days; all the rest of the leftovers were trashed. 

   Diane did get out to follow up on her application at the Elk's.  She applied back in May but never heard anything more. The Elk's though she had been approved and not sworn in. They were apologetic and she is back on track. She stopped for lunch and did some shopping on her way back.

  The weather has been great all week long.  This is the second week straight of just perfect sunny fall weather.  Last week we were sick, this week at two different locations.  The highlight of the days are going to grocery store and brief shopping trips. Today is no exception.  I went out for lunch, stopped for 4 things at the grocery store and then the dollar general for my creamer.  Oh Yea! 😒 After all that excitement I loaded up my bike and went for a ride.  First in over a week. That felt good.

   Can't wait to have Diane return and then get our Moho back.  Time to start planning for the fall camping schedule.
