I went over to Len's and worked on clearing brush and sawing down several trees. Len has the biggest chain saw they make (I think), and it is very heavy. It felt good to use the saw and sweat a little. Back to the Moho, salad for diner can't wait until Diane gets home.
The neighbors made another trip to look at a Moho. They liked this one and will probably get it. I called the dealer buying ours letting him know we were ready to sell. Diane was watching Chase most of the day because day care was closed, a lot of the teachers were sick. Salad for dinner again.

Randy called to say they were definitely getting this one and that they had made a down payment. I went down took one final look at Randy and Vikki's and made a deal with them. The coach is a 2013 Newmar 3634 with 30,000 miles. It is 5 feet shorter in length and 4 feet shorter wheelbase. Just about what we are looking for. I called Diane to let her know. Now all we have to do is figure out the logistics. We pretty much need to do the swap all in one day. Meantime Diane is just staying up north enjoying Chase, had lunch with Bev and enjoyed friends without concern for me sweating the load down here. Hot dogs for dinner.
Friday 3 February 2023
I called the RV dealer to make the arrangements for closing and to see if they can do a title swap for us buying the Newmar. They dropped the price by $5,000, said the first numbers he gave me was just an estimate, but we are ready to do this, so we accepted it. By then it was time to head to Sanford and pick up Diane, finally, returning from PA. It was a long day, after the phone call with the dealer I was stressed. I left early enough to stop and get packing boxes at U-Haul, then just as I pulled into the cell phone, I get a text her plane was late arriving. Oh yea.
Saturday 4 February 2023
The stress just keeps going up every day. Talked with Randy and Vikki and we decided we would rent a U-Haul trailer to put all our stuff in and they were just going to put their stuff in their screened in room. I call Len to ask him something and he suggested that we just borrow his trailer and save the money. I forgot he had one. We packed most of my items from under the Moho into the bed of the truck, I didn't realize now much stuff I accumulated over the past 4 1/2 years. We did have a guest who was passing through the campground, campers up and down our road made sure he made it out the other side.
Sunday 5 February 2023
We were going to wait until Tuesday to get the U-Haul trailer but now we decided to get Len's today. That was one of the best decisions we made, as it turned out. I picked up the trailer and parked it beside the Moho. First thing was to unload some of the stuff out of the truck bed and into the trailer. The rest of day was just a blur of boxing up and carrying to the trailer. A glass of wine as we watched the sunset.
Monday 6 February 2023
Made the final arrangements with the RV dealer for Thursday morning at 10:00AM to swap titles, etc. That gave us 2 1/2 days to finish moving everything into the trailer. With each passing hour our stress levels went up and our nerves were getting shot. By afternoon we had to take a break and went for a bike ride and walk followed by an early happy hour.
Tuesday 7 February 2023
Pack, pack and pack. Everywhere we look and every door we opened was full. Some of it we had forgotten we had. Diane did make time to get her pedicure, even with all that was going on. Rudy and I

went for a walk up to the food truck (BBQ) to check it out. We stood in line for hour and half until our food was ready. We barely walked in door and Diane was home. The BBQ was great, and we didn't have to cook.
Wednesday 8 February 2023
I had to unpack a fry pan so we could eat breakfast, And then back at it. By the end of today we had to be done. Feeling the pressure and knowing Diane's mornings, I called the RV dealer and pushed the settlement time back to 11:00. We made frozen wings from the grocery store, so we didn't need any dishes or pans. Almost done our last night in the old Moho๐she treated us well for four and half years.

Joining us for lunch at Burger King! |
Well, this is the big day. Up at 6am without an alarm, nervous/excited couldn't sleep past about 4am. We threw everything left bedding, towels, coffee pot into the trailer. Packed the refrigerator and freezer contents into the cooler and insulated shopping bags, waiting for Randy to call saying their refrigerator was ready for our food. It took forever to drive to the dealership arriving at 11:30 then waited. Signed a few papers and the guy says were all done and off we went. First order of business was lunch. While having lunch at Burger King we realized we received no bill of sale or temporary registration or any paperwork at all. Diane went in to order and I called about the paperwork, and they just said they could mail it to us. It did not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. While at BK we noticed a peacock walking and yelling around back, they sure are pretty. We got back to the new to us Moho about 3pm. We walked in, looked around and started carrying in boxes and unpacking. Boxes all over the place and we couldn't find anything, Diane did find and unpacked the bread, so it was sausages for diner. The place was still a mess at bedtime.
Friday 10 February 2023
Started early carrying in box after box trying to fit a house full of belongings into a one-bedroom apartment. It just WILL NOT fit. Boxes all throughout the Moho, nerves were shot, tempers were getting short, and buyer's remorse was hitting hard. So, midafternoon to ease the stress we quit I went for a bike ride and Diane went for a long hard walk. That helped a little. We settled in a bit and were feeling better about the Moho. End of our first full day in the Newmar.
Saturday 11 February 2023
Yogurt for breakfast, we only unpacked one box today. We spent the rest of day sorting things we already had sitting around the camper. And that was a lot. Diane has changed the kitchen cupboards about 2 or 3 times already. Knowing we had to move everything into the new Moho we've been eating all the food we had so we didn't have to carry it over. Today Diane went to the grocery store to replenish the pantry and refrigerator. The bill was over $250 wow that hurt but at least we can eat again. I was checking the bank account and noticed the old RV loan was not paid off. So, the panic set in a bit first they lowered their offer next we didn't get any temporary registration and now the old loan wasn't paid off. I called the guy right away and he said not to worry. Easy for him to say. We are going back over Monday to iron it all out. Felt much better about the trade.

Day three. We both slept much better last night and ready to finish loading up the Moho. I brought

The last of the boxes, but the mess is slowly getting put away. |
the last 4 boxes in this morning right after breakfast. By midafternoon we were well on the way to being done at last, at least for the start (Diane did a lot of creative packing). We do have a pile of trash, a pile for donations and a pile I hope to put out for a yard sale. And I almost forgot we made a couple of boxes to go to the storage unit as soon as we get to Dillsburg. Looks like an early happy hour and burgers for dinner.
