A Busy time in PA!!

Friday, April 22, 2022.

Well today is the final leg of our journey. We were up and rolling somewhere around 9:30 AM, on our way to Walmar Manor.  It was pretty much an uneventful day sunny about 66°. We stopped for a break, stopped for lunch and then we tried saving money by getting fuel at a regular Sheetz gas station.  Seemed like a good idea, turns out the Moho does not fit in a Sheetz parking lot at all. So, I decided to drive around the pumps and back out, didn't work.  We got stuck and we had to wait for a guy to come out of Sheetz, get in his car, move and keep two more spaces free so we can make the turn without unhooking the truck. In 45 minutes, we were in and out of Sheetz and back on the highway with no fuel.  Lesson learned stick with truck stops. With all that we completed our 214 mile in under five hours and by 3:30 we were parked set up and ready for an early happy hour, we're back in Dillsburg.

Saturday and Sunday were kind of a blur, it was sunny, fairly warm and Diane was in a hurry to get over to see the grandbaby. First things first, we had to get the washstand out of the basement area and into the storage unit.  But when we picked the mirror up it was separating at a seam, so stand and mirror were dropped off at Brenizers to get fixed. So, we bought a stand, have no house to put it in, now we are paying to fix it before it goes to storage.  Still seems like a good buy.  A couple runs, the grocery store, the butcher shop, washing the bugs off of the windshield and we were ready to go see Chase (Shane and Morgan also).

Even pappy enjoyed visiting Chase.

Sunday was another nice day, we finished cleaning up around the campsite, got the truck washed and headed over to Lynne and Rick's for dinner, shrimp taco's, Yum!  Most of the free time these last few days has been spent, once again, looking for RVs. Somehow, we accidentally found a couple we liked so now we're in calling people and going through all the rigmarole to see how and if we can make a deal on the RV.  One RV is in North Carolina just a short 400 miles from here, the other is in Hobbs, New Mexico some1700 miles from here. We'll just have to see how that goes and mostly our trade in value which will play an important role.

Monday was shopping, organizing and getting things back to normal while preparing to head up to Ives Run on the first with Lynn and Rick.  Diane went to Karns to get some of local foods we miss when you are away for months.

Tuesday was the all-important day for Diane, she went over to co-baby sit Chase along with Colette (Morgan's mom).  She came home smiling from ear to ear.  Rudy and I spent the day walking the campground, making a bunch of phone calls and washed another section of the Moho.

If I could, I would always hold him, but he wiggles a lot and

it's fun to just sit with him!!

 Wednesday 27 April 2022

After a nice breakfast I dropped Diane off with Lynne. They are going to spend the day shopping and enjoying some sister time.  I stopped in to see Bev, we chatted for a while and I got some deer meat we have been storing in her freezer.  Back walked Rudy, showered and by then it was time to pick up Diane along with our mail.  Then out to dinner with the Angeli sisters at Dockside Willy's. It was great to see everyone again. Always good to visit with family.

The sister dinner.....yes we allowed our husbands join us!!

Thursday 28 April 2022

Seems like it is getting cooler instead of warmer this spring, even poor Rudy doesn't like going out in the morning. Another grandbaby visit today for Diane, she is always happy to go see Chase.  I made a few phone calls then cleaned up round the camper.  I had rearranged the whole basement storage area to get the wash stand in, now I had to undo it all.  I had the stuff stuffed everywhere when I would open a door something would fall out of the slide.  The good news, today Diane had a roast in the crock pot.  She came home I put everything back in the Moho and dinner was severed.

Today I got to see Shane and Chase.

Friday 29 April 2022

Cold start this morning, 34 degrees with a good frost.  But it warmed up quickly with clear skies and abundant sunshine. It felt a little cool when I got so I turn up the thermostat and made a cup of coffee about half way through with my coffee I realized the furnace never came on.  Out of propane. Good news it didn't run out at 2 am, another thing to add to the chore list. After breakfast I hit the road for propane, credit union, Tractor supply for DEF, storage unit and wine store.  Shortly after I got back Diane was off to the grocery store and butcher shop while I switched out propane tanks and put the DEF in the Moho. Needless to say we were worn out by evening.  Burgers on the grill.

                                Rudy's enjoying the Sunshine!!
